FEATURES/ADVANTAGES
- This antenna has been specifically designed for the base station and maritime VHF band and is used when more gain is required than can be achieved with standard ½ λ dipoles.
- The 1" rotating nut mounting system is standard throughout the maritime sector and several different mounting brackets are available, allowing the antenna to be mounted either on the masthead, on the side of the mast or on the crossbeam. In addition, the antenna can be mounted on deck or on the roof using the FLG. (See accessories).
- The higher the antenna is mounted, the better the coverage. Avoid mounting the antenna parallel to or close to other metal parts, such as masts, suspension cables, etc. The antenna does not require a ground plane, radials or other auxiliary arrangements.
- The CXL 2-3 is broadband and has a good SWR on both RX and TX frequencies. All metal parts are at ground potential so that the antenna has a DC short circuit via the coaxial cable.
- A conical fiberglass tube completely encloses the carefully designed radiating element to ensure long, reliable operation in all climates.
