Description
The K-TERM 44 Option Board is installed in Motorola devices.
Depending on the version, the K-TERM 44 is equipped with a man-down sensor and a beacon receiver for in-house localization.
For which radios
The K-TERM 44 can be installed in the following Motorola devices:
Portable radios: DP440x, DP460x, DP480x, DP3441* (including e-devices)
Mobile radios: DM440x(e), DM460x(e)*
ManDown version
The ManDown version is used to raise the alarm in an emergency:
- Man-down alarm with pre-alarm
- Alarm in the absence of movement
- Manual alarm
- Lone worker alarm
- External alarm via button
In the event of an alarm, the following information can be transmitted:
- Motorola alarm message.
- Listening in.
- SDS text messages with GPS, distance and direction information.
- Telemetry control.
- Playback of WAV sequences.
- Localization signals in the triggering device.
- K-TERM alarm messages to the control panel.
Before an alarm is triggered, a pre-alarm with signal tones is activated if necessary. The alarm function can be set for each channel.
Beacon receiver version
A K-TERM 44 with integrated beacon receiver is also equipped with a man-down sensor.
This version integrates all the functions of the ManDown version (see above) and also receives beacon signals.
These signals are sent to the control center. Depending on the radio system, various optimizations are used
to transmit the data traffic quickly and efficiently. If an alarm is triggered,
the last three positions are transmitted to the control panel with each alarm message.
This ensures that a person can be located as quickly as possible in an emergency.
