This grounding kit was developed by RFS for the CELLFLEX® cable series. The housing of the grounding kit facilitates proper attachment to the coaxial cable and ensures that the performance of the coaxial cable is not compromised. The tinned copper braid provides a secure, low impedance contact to the outside of the cable. Conductor. Installation only takes a few minutes. No additional sealing with mastic and electrical tape required.
FEATURES/ADVANTAGES
- Compatible with copper and aluminum cable types, i.e. one grounding kit for both outer conductor materials eliminates the risk of incorrect installation of the grounding kit and helps to keep stock levels low.
- This kit has been tested by independent laboratories to withstand the damaging effects of a lightning current in excess of 100kA 10/350µs in accordance with EN 50164. The copper wire provides the most practical and effective low inductance transmission of lightning induced current to earth.
- No effect on the electrical transmission characteristics of the coaxial cable.
- Rugged mechanical construction.
- UV-resistant in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4892-2 (Plastics - Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources - Part 2 Xenon arc lamps).
- Ozone-resistant in accordance with DIN 53509 (Testing of rubber - Determination of resistance to ozone cracking).
- RoHS-compliant (EU 2002/95/EC) and CRoHS-compliant (China SJ/T11363-2006), i.e. can be used worldwide.
