The antenna can be tuned within the frequency band 145...175 MHz (by cutting the Whip).
The GP 160 5/8 is a very robust design that can withstand installation under extreme conditions. It is well suited for mounting on fishing vessels etc. and a good choice for base stations in the land mobile sector.
The GP 160 5/8 is a 1 dBd, vertically polarized omnidirectional antenna for base stations and marine applications.
Unless otherwise specified, the antenna is supplied adjusted to 145 MHz. However, it can also be supplied preset for the maritime VHF band if this is specified when ordering.
The GP 160 5/8 is DC earthed and antistatic protected as all metal parts are connected to earth. The antenna therefore has a DC short circuit via the coaxial cable.
The materials used are glass fiber and chrome-plated brass.
