• CXL 2-5HD/... is a 5 dBd, vertically polarized, omnidirectional base station antenna.
• The antenna has a bandwidth of 7-8 MHz.
• The antenna is supplied with a robust "HD" type mast mount, a heavy-duty, versatile mount made of corrosion-free aluminum. The associated U-brackets and fittings are made of stainless steel.
• The antenna can be mounted on mast tubes with an outer diameter of 58 to 105 mm. The design of the bracket also makes it possible to route the cable either along the inside or outside of the mast tube.
• When designing this antenna, particular emphasis was placed on a wide bandwidth in terms of both SWR and gain. The phasing of the radiating elements is carefully tuned to achieve maximum gain in the horizontal plane, with the level of side lobes reduced to a minimum.
• The antenna element is enclosed in a high quality, conical fiberglass tube with low wind loading, ensuring undisturbed performance in all climates.
• To significantly reduce interference from atmospheric discharges, all metal parts in the antenna are DC earthed. Consequently, the antenna has a DC short circuit via the coaxial cable.
