FEATURES/ADVANTAGES

• This base station and maritime VHF antenna has been developed for use on board ships and on masts and can be mounted in the mast, in the auxiliary mast or on the crossbeam thanks to the 1" rotating nut mounting system. It can also be mounted on deck or on the roof using the Procom flange bracket.
• Please note that the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the reception.
• Avoid mounting the antenna parallel to and close to other metal parts such as masts, suspension cables, etc. It is preferable to mount the antenna freely and as high as possible, as otherwise the SWR and the radiation pattern will be affected.
• The antenna is a ½ λ design, i.e. it does not require loading coils, ground plane, radials or other auxiliary arrangements.
• CXL 2-1/... can be operated without problems with duplex radios and on the semi-duplex channels, as it is broadband (see SWR diagram). This means that the CXL 2-1/... has a ship-shaped SWR on the RX frequencies, which is just as important as for the TX frequencies.
• In addition, the antenna is an earthed radiating antenna and therefore has a DC short circuit via the coaxial cable.
• A conical fiberglass tube completely encloses the carefully designed radiating element to ensure long, reliable operation in all climates.
