The new smart Master OTRx transports the HF signal for security radio services via an optical fiber and is available in the following frequency combinations:

• OTRX 1/4: FM,VHF,DAB+,UHF and LTE 450
• OTRX 4/9: UHF, LTE 450, LTE 700, LTE 800 and GSM-R

The optical distribution system essentially consists of the Master Unit MU (close to the base station) and the Remote Unit RU (close to the antenna or radiating point). The master unit and remote unit are connected via an optical fiber.

The number of master OTRx depends on the size and type of the optical distribution system (cascaded or point-to-point).

The smart master OTRx has a built-in wavelength multiplexer for 1310 nm in DL and 1550 nm in UL.

The use of a wavelength multiplexer enables the control of up to 4 remote units via one optical fiber, e.g. with star or series connection.
