BSF3604
Band-selective fiber optically powered TETRA amplifier
Main features:
The BSF3604 is a band-selective fiber optically powered amplifier for TETRA. It is part of a system that is fed by an optical master unit (OMU). The maximum permissible optical attenuation is 10dB opt. This corresponds to a fiber length of 20km between the OMU and the furthest supplied fiber optically fed amplifier. This offers great flexibility when implementing radio coverage for areas that cannot be supplied via an air interface. The fiber optically connected system can be both monitored and controlled. This is done with a very effective software application, the Axell Wireless Element Manager.
Automatic optical gain adjustment
The gain adjustment in the downlink is done by measuring the power level of a pilot tone transmitted by the optical master unit (OMU). This received power level is subject to constant monitoring
